“The 19th District internship has provided me with invaluable experiences and opportunities. Finally, I am able to see everything I have read about in my politics textbooks come to life on a daily basis, from attending committee hearings to helping constituents. I feel very fortunate for this one-of-a-kind opportunity. Most interns only work in a D.C. office, but we get to see the dedication of Congressman Platts and his staff at both his D.C. office and his district offices. This is, without a doubt, the best internship to have to really learn how a Congressional office works.”

-Emily Harlan, 2011 Summer Intern
