“I am very thankful for all of the great things I was able to experience during my summer working for Congressman Todd Platts. I have always had a passion to help the people of my community, and I was able to fulfill that passion while working for the 19th District. All of the interns have gotten the opportunity to work through the full spectrum of public service, whether it was talking to constituents face to face, giving tours, writing letters, or answering phone calls. I have always been told that there is the government that you learn about in a book, and then there is the one you learn about from experience. Thanks to the 19th District Internship Association, Congressman Platts, and his amazing staff, I have been able to learn by first hand experience.”

-Aaron Kraft, 2011 Summer Intern
