19th District Internship program has been an incredible opportunity for
me to gain understanding of the role government plays in the lives of
everyday people. The sincerity and dedication that Congressman Platts
and his staff display in their dealings with constituents has given me a
much greater appreciation for the positive impact government can have.
Through my work in Congressman Platts’ office, I have gained valuable
public relations skills as well as a stronger sense of public service
within my community. I am grateful not only for the opportunity to
experience first-hand how government operates, but also for the
knowledge and skills that will continue to serve me well beyond these
